Blades:

All Musashi blades are clam tempered and hand forged from start to finish. The forge date is etched on the tang as well as “Musashi” in kanji. Bo-hi, false edge, and various styles of real hamon gives you a wide variety of selection when you choose your Musashi sword.

Silver Collection:

Steel Types: 1060 High Carbon Steel Forge Method: Maru-Kitae

The Musashi Silver Collection swords are made from 1060 high carbon steel and offer a great compromise between strength and edge hardness.

Gold Collection:

Steel Types: 1090, 1095, or T10 High Carbon Steels Forge Method: Maru-Kitae

The Musashi Gold Collection swords are made from 1090, 1095, T10, or Damascus steels as bases for the hand forged blades. Every sword from our Gold Collection is clay tempered and full tang to make sure they will perform the way they were designed.

Platinum Collection:

Combines Two Steel Types: From 1060 High Carbon Steel up to T10 Forge Methods: Kobuse-Kitae and Gomai-Kitae

The Musashi Platinum Collection combines two steel types using either the Kobuse-Kitae method or the Gomai-Kitae method. Each sword combines a beautifully designed work of art with skillfully sharp sword edge.

Miyamoto Collection:

Steel Types: T10 or Tamahagane

Our toughest swords in the Musashi collection come from the Miyamoto Collection. These swords consist of either T10 steel or Tamahagane. T10 steel is a tungsten alloy steel with an extremely high carbon content combined with silicon. Tamahagane is one of the rarest materials used in katana forging and creates a unique and must-have addition to any collection.

In addition to our collections, Musashi offers the Gold Collection: Hand Crafted Igusa Omote Samurai Sword. This 42" hand forged katana features a 1095 High Carbon Steel full tang blade. It is made using the Maru-Kitae Forged Method and clay tempered method, and features a real hamon. The wood handle is real ray skin wrapped in traditional black cotton cord, and it also features an iron Fuchi and kashira. This sword is perfect for collection, gifts, or straw mat cutting practice.
