Blade: This 1045 fully handmade quality Japanese samurai Tanto sword features a carbon steel blade that is heat tempered and hand sharpened by a Japanese whetstone. The edge is sharp, and the hamon (tempered line) is obvious and hand polished. There is a hi (blood groove) on each side of the blade. The tusk (handle) is made of genuine ray skin and black Japanese cotton, with a dragon menace ornament. The say (scabbard) is made of black piano lacquered wood with black cotton sage. The tang is signed and full, with one mekugi (peg). The sword is brand new and can be fully disassembled and assembled. The blade length (with hibachi) is 10.4 inches, while the blade length (without hibachi) is 9.1 inches. The handle length is 5.8 inches, and the overall length (with say) is 17.6 inches. The weight (with say) is 1.2 lbs, and the weight (without say) is 0.99 lbs.

This functional and sharp-edged sword also comes with a wooden handle wrapped with ray skin and black cotton cord.
